1. Who We Are
Tee Timer is operated by Holicow LLC ("we," "us," "our"), a limited liability company registered in the State of Washington. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have regarding your information.

2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and the group name. Member information you add — names, email addresses, and optional attributes like handicap index — is collected at your direction and stored on your group's behalf.
Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment information is collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. We do not receive or store your full credit card number. We retain only limited billing metadata (last 4 digits, card brand, expiration).
Usage information. We automatically collect information about how you use the Service: pages visited, features used, and related events. This includes IP address, browser type, device information, and timestamps.
Communications. When you contact us for support or respond to surveys, we keep a copy of that correspondence.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the Service (events, scoring, leaderboards, newsletters, handicap tracking)
- Process billing, send invoices, and manage subscriptions
- Communicate with you about account, billing, and product announcements
- Respond to support requests and diagnose technical issues
- Improve the Service, including through aggregated and anonymized analytics
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:
With service providers who help us operate the Service, under written agreements requiring them to protect your information:
- Stripe — payment processing, billing, and tax calculation
- Email delivery providers — transactional and newsletter email
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — server, database, and file storage
Within your group. Other members of your group can see roster information, scores, and event attendance as determined by their role within the group.
To comply with law — when we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is required by subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Holicow LLC or others.
Business transfers — if Holicow LLC is acquired or merges with another entity, your information may transfer to the successor under equivalent privacy protections.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and analyze Service usage. Essential cookies are required for the Service to function; analytics cookies help us understand product use. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may limit Service functionality.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and group data while your subscription is active. If your account becomes inactive (trial expiration without subscription, or cancellation without renewal), we retain your data in a read-only state so you can reactivate or export it.
Accounts that remain inactive for 270 days are permanently deleted, including all associated events, scores, rosters, and communications. You receive email warnings before each stage of this process (see our Terms of Service).
Billing records are retained as required by applicable tax and accounting regulations — typically seven years after the final transaction.
7. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access. Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction. Update or correct inaccurate information directly in your account or by contacting us.
- Deletion. Self-delete your account from your account settings. This permanently removes your group and all associated data.
- Data export. Download a copy of your group's data as CSV at any time.
- Marketing opt-out. Opt out of promotional communications via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Transactional messages (billing, account security) cannot be opted out of while the account is active.

8. State-Specific Rights
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell personal information). Requests can be submitted to support@teetimer.app.
Residents of other US states with comparable privacy laws (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, etc.) may exercise equivalent rights through the same contact.
9. Data Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transport (TLS), encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, however; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we learn of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International Users
The Service is hosted in the United States and intended for users in the US and Canada. If you access the Service from other jurisdictions, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email to active subscribers at least 30 days before taking effect.
